Our role in the project
To provide occupational noise monitoring services at Southampton Airport to assess the exposure of airport employees to noise levels during routine airfield operations.
Specific considerations
- To establish if sound pressure levels exceed the upper exposure action value of 85 dB(A), and; to assess the suitability of any hearing protection provided
- To ensure that all operations could run effectively whilst the monitoring was being undertaken
Acoustic features of this project
- Southampton Airport were pro-active in evaluating the potential risk to site staff working on various procedures and at various locations.
