Our role in the project

Throughout the design and construction process of both residential sites, we provided noise and vibration measurement services, as well as consultancy advice.

Specific considerations

  • Rail noise from the adjacent West Coast Main Line
  • Road traffic noise from a busy roundabout

Acoustic features of this project

  • A successful programme of pre-completion sound insulation testing at Albert Road, including over 100 individual measurements;
  • Carrying out a similarly successful pre-completion testing programme at the Carlton Vale roundabout site.

The £6.5bn government-sponsored Thameslink Programme has transformed north-south travel through London Bridge. The Programme dates back to the early 1970s when it was proposed as the Borough Market Viaduct Capacity Enhancement Scheme. Dumfries Factory Vibration
We were commissioned by Piovan UK to provide advice regarding problematic equipment vibration levels. The issue centred around chalk dosing equipment which was experiencing high levels of vibration, thus affecting the ability of the base loading cell to accurately measure quantities of chalk. The goal of this project was to investigate the issue and provide advice.
